HD Texture Packs

A brand new texture pack is available today. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is available for download to Download Access+ subscribers. The Dark Prince is a cool game, but it is severely lacking in graphical quality. This new texture pack should improve on the quality of textures throughout the entire game.

Additionally, Ryujinx 8GB has been updated to include the newest updates from the official Ryujinx as well as some added memory improvements. Unfortunately, it still isn't compatible with the Tears of the Kingdom texture pack, but works with the other games including The Dark Prince.

A decision was made today to take down the Github repository and download link for Yuzu 12GB. This decision was made for several reasons. The 12GB mode often crashed on startup, and Yuzu code will not be updated due to Nintendo's legal action. Additionally, only one texture pack used the 12GB mode, Tears of the Kingdom, and it is mostly the same in 8GB mode as 12GB mode.

If you want to play texture packs from HDPacks.com, you can decide what software you want to use, however Yuzu or any forks will not be officially supported.

A patch has been released today for Super Mario Odyssey that fixes a crash in The Mushroom Kingdom soon after entering the area.

There are no other updates at this time, however big updates and new games may be coming soon.

A patch has been released that fixes the shrine loading bug for the v1.1 texture pack for Breath of the Wild. The patch is not compatible with or necessary for the v1.0 texture pack.

In other news, if you weren't aware, the Yuzu emulator project has been shut down by Nintendo. This means that there will be no further updates to Yuzu and therefore the custom version will no longer receive updates.

Another Super Mario game has been given an HD overhaul. Super Mario RPG already has great graphics, but has some areas that are rough around the edges. Some of the terrain and building materials would look better with a texture pack. The aim of this texture pack is to improve on these details.

This texture pack is currently in early access and is available to Download Access+ subscribers. If you have 2 credits or are a subscriber, you can visit the downloads page to try the new texture pack.
